In the story of Genesis a good example of will power is told in the story of Cain and Able.
Alone we have but only our self will. It can be very deceiving because of the false sense of power one thinks they have and the un-truth belief that there is separation.
We go forth committing atrocities and claiming these accomplishments as strength. The notion of "taking charge and doing what a man must do".
In truth we concoct all kinds of stories and explanations to justify such wicked and ignorant actions. Sadly enough we pass them on. Often we rely on outer strength and often we confuse it as "An act of God."
In Genesis Mehujael means manifestation of a physical demonstration of strength. This misguided belief that strength and power are purely physical, leads to error of manifestations and demonstrations of power and strength and always leads to some kind of trouble and the outer mans ends up citing God for this mess such as ; God’s Punishment, God’s Wrath. Where as it’s Mankind’s ignorant, confused thoughts and beliefs.
Cain (possession, physical body) who was brother to Abel, slain Abel. This was not God’s will but the self will of what had become, a sick man. He had manifested selfishness and drained himself of all human sympathy and love. He was reduced to mere material living. Cain had driven himself to a degraded condition, a mere machine of little sensation and thus the statement “Cain tills the ground but yields no strength.”
Even in the story of Adam and Eve it was self will power that led to their consciousness of duality. Self will leads to the negative side of one’s nature (that nothingness) losing consciousness of the equilibrium of Christ Mind.
In the story of Cain, he lived on in agony. The body feels the degradation which creates a state of misery. No matter how deep the body ego may be in transgressions, it still bears the stamp of God and can never be killed out. Life is eternal but the body ego can kill the consciousness of life within the individual. It is best to let our light shine for all to see the good works made manifest through Christ Mind.
Again in the Story of Adam and Eve there is a place east of Eden called Nod. It is a name meaning, “wandering with uncertainty"; the unguided activity of man’s sub consciousness during periods of sleep. Here Cain dwelt after he lost his contact with the spiritual source (he went out from the presence of Jehovah).
Ironically some people appear to be doing fine while claiming God does nothing for them. I believe they may have blindly stumbled into God’s goodness and work that which they know nothing about. Jesus pointed out to build one’s house on rock not on sand. I believe they have built their houses on sand and should one strong wind or wave come along they would be devastated and blame other people, life itself, bad luck, or God.
God’s Power is Omnipresent all good, absolute freedom. To shut down from it is to only be a very small part of the true self. . We are meant to be Godlike and to make it our up most desire to grow in this consciousness.
Man to this day chooses to be so much less than he truly is. The Adam and Eve consciousness is still very much a part of life. And yet we are all welcomed to leave from this place called Nod and awaken in the Garden of Eden in God consciousness through Christ Mind.
